Still Have Questions?
If something hasn’t been answered here, send me a message. I’d rather you ask than wonder, and I read every note that comes in personally.
Everything you may want to know before your reading
Booking a reading can bring up a lot of feelings — curiosity, hope, nervousness, and sometimes a healthy dose of skepticism. All of that is welcome here. Below are the questions I’m asked most often, answered as honestly and clearly as I can. If something isn’t covered, please reach out — no question is too small.
Both readings are individually yours. Put simply, for either type, it’s about tuning into energy.
In a psychic reading, think of it as your energy radiating out — and as my energy radiates out and blends with yours, we intuitively get an insight into your life.
Your energy holds a lot of information about what’s been going on, particularly if you’re feeling challenged or have decisions to make at the moment. You can ask to focus on certain parts of your life for insight and guidance, or just have a general reading and see what your energy throws out there — how the reading unfolds, and in what direction it goes.
Sometimes the guidance that comes through is the guidance you need, rather than the guidance you thought you wanted. Every reading will differ, from person to person and reading to reading.
There’s no guarantee that the exact person you want to get in touch with will come forward. It may be that another loved one steps in with a message that’s needed for you now, in this moment — rather than your intended loved one simply coming forward to say hello.I will however try my very best to make contact with the particular loved ones you’d love to meet again.
Every reading is a little different, but I’ll usually start by quietening my mind and tuning into your energy.
From there, information begins to come through — sometimes as pictures or images, sometimes as words or names, sometimes as a feeling or sensation in my body, and sometimes as an emotion that doesn’t quite belong to me. It can be a memory, a personality trait, or even something physical that relates to a loved one in spirit.
I’ll share what I’m receiving as I receive it, rather than trying to make sense of it first. Some of it will land for you straight away and hopefully be meaningful to you. Some of it might not make sense until later — sometimes days or weeks later — and that’s perfectly normal. It’s one of the reasons I always suggest recording the session if you can.
You don’t need to prepare anything for the reading to “work,” but a little reflection beforehand can help you get the most from it.
Take a few quiet moments before we begin to think about what’s on your heart — areas where you’d like some clarity, people you’d love to hear from, or questions that have been sitting with you.
It’s also helpful to have a notebook nearby, or a way to record. Beyond that, just come as you are.
Yes, and I’d really encourage it. Readings can be emotional, and it’s easy to miss or forget details in the moment.
Listening back later — sometimes weeks afterwards — is often when the deeper meaning surfaces, and pieces that didn’t quite land at the time start to make sense.
I will also record the session and can send it to you for your personal use, and I will also confidentially and securely store the recording to avoid any miscommunications later.

I only work with a small number of clients, so you will get my undivided attention, energy and my heart and soul in a relaxed, unhurried session. If you’re not sure which option is the right fit, just reach out and I’ll happily help you decide.
I wish I could promise that, but I can’t — and honestly, any medium who does should be approached with caution.
Spirit has its own timing and its own intentions. Often the loved one you most hope to hear from does come through, and sometimes they bring others with them. Other times, a different loved one comes forward first because they have a message that’s needed in this moment.
What I can promise is that I’ll work with integrity, share exactly what I receive, and hold the space with care.
There can be lots of reasons for this. Sometimes another loved one steps forward because the message they bring is timely. Sometimes a spirit is still settling, particularly after a recent passing. And sometimes our own grief or expectation creates a kind of static that makes it harder for spirit to come through clearly.
If this happens, please know it isn’t a reflection of how much they loved you, or how much they want to connect with you. Their love isn’t measured by whether they make it through in a single hour.
And if we don’t connect with any of your loved ones, and no evidence seems to land that you can recognise within the first ten to fifteen minutes, I will give you a full refund for the session — and we can either try again another day, or you can find a different psychic medium whose way of working may suit you better than mine.
Yes, absolutely. Animals are family, and they often come through with as much personality and presence as they had in life.
Personally, being more clairvoyant as a psychic medium and an empath, I may see pictures and pick up on emotions from those animals. However, there are psychic mediums who specialise in this area — and I’m happy to point you towards some details, or you can do a little research yourself to find the one that suits you best.
There’s no single right answer to this, and it really depends on you.
Some people find comfort in connecting soon after a passing; others need more time to sit with their grief first.
If you’ve recently lost a loved one and are still in the early stages of grief, a reading may not actually help you accept the loss or move through your bereavement — because it can feel as though your loved one is still right here with you. As hard as it is to say, these life-changing losses do need to be accepted and worked through, in their own time.
Many practitioners suggest waiting a few months when possible, simply because the rawness of fresh loss can make it harder to be present in the reading.
If you’re recently bereaved, please also think about working with a grief counsellor or therapist alongside any spiritual work. A reading can absolutely be part of healing, but it isn’t a replacement for it.
Sometimes, yes. Your loved one’s spirit will sometimes acknowledge how they passed, and they frequently address things that have been weighing on the people they left behind. This is their way of giving evidence that their consciousness continues.
Other pieces of evidence they may touch my awareness with could be specific dates that resonate with you, birthdays, house numbers, or the dynamics of certain relationships — little details that help you recognise them. For more on this, please have a look at my pages on the different types of readings.
That said, I can’t direct what comes through. The readings are spirit-led, and the impressions they give me — which I then try to translate to you in a meaningful way — are the sentiments your loved one feels you need in this moment.
Both video readings and in-person readings carry exactly the same energy. Energy isn’t bound by distance or time — and neither is your loved one’s energy.
Some of my clients prefer video sessions, purely because they’re in the comfort of their own home, which is a safe space that they feel comfortable and relaxed in. Others live in different countries, so travelling for an in-person reading is impossible.
A number of clients — generally those who live closer — prefer in-person, one-to-one readings, as they may feel they’d like a little human support after the reading. Some feel emotional afterwards. Some feel calm. Some feel lifted up. However, if it’s their first reading particularly, they may not know what to expect or how they’ll feel at the end — and they may need that in-person human support as we close the session.
No — and honestly, I prefer not to know.
If too much information is shared with me beforehand, whether about your loved one or about your own life, my conscious mind will kick in and the reading will be biased, because I’ll already know what you’re hoping to hear.
When I go in with nothing, the impressions that come through — and that resonate with you — stand on their own. You’ll know they aren’t coming from me, but from spirit.
If you’re booking online, your name and contact details are all I need.
The frequency of having readings depends totally on each individual. It may be once a year, once every two years, or twice a year.
Readings are most meaningful when there’s space to integrate what came through and let it unfold in your life. Some of the evidence and impressions I receive may take a little while to unfold, and for you to fully understand the information that came through.
However, if something significant in your life shifts — a major loss, a big decision, a pivotal point in your life — that might be a good moment to consider another reading.
At the moment, I’m just working in a one-to-one dynamic.
In small group sessions, we may well get multiple loved ones joining us at once, and it can become confusing trying to differentiate who’s trying to contact whom. So for now, I’ll just work one-to-one — though that may well change in the future.
When you arrive at a one-to-one session, I know you’ll come with an open mind and an open heart, and that helps amplify the energy for the reading.
In a group setting, if there are one or two sceptics who are trying to undermine the experience and find fault in what’s exchanged, said, and done, that makes the work of making a connection much harder for me with your loved one. It can also affect your own experience of the session — making it feel less personal, less meaningful, not as enjoyable, and not the exciting experience it’s meant to be.
Honestly? Healthy skepticism is welcome. I was a skeptic myself for many years, until I started training. I’d much rather work with a skeptic who has an open mind and is willing to listen, than with someone who believes everything without question and tries to make every piece of evidence fit — even when it doesn’t.
Spirit doesn’t need you to be a true believer. It just needs you to be open enough to listen, and honest enough to acknowledge what lands and what doesn’t. No reading will ever have 100% of the evidence guaranteed — and I’d be wary of anyone who claims otherwise.
Hence, the best thing you can do during your reading is keep your answers simple — a yes, a no, or “I’ll have to check on that.” That way, the evidence that comes through from the impressions touching my mind is unbiased, rather than shaped by clues you’ve already offered or opened up to me.
In my experience, no. A reading done with intention, integrity, and the inviting of loved ones who have passed — those who share only kindness, compassion, and love — has never brought anything negative into the space. I have never experienced any negativity whatsoever.
This is actually a question I asked myself when I first began training. What can I say? I absolutely love horror films, and the visuals from them were embedded in my mind, so I kept asking myself the same question over and over again.
But what has evolved through experience is that our loved ones come through with messages of love, thanks, pride, and compassion. Even if their characters were harsh in this world, egos are left behind. Some of their personality traits will remain — but they will understand the impact their behaviour had on those around them. They won’t necessarily ask for forgiveness, but they will want to acknowledge the effect it had on others.
So please don’t think of this as something spooky. It’s something beautiful. You’ll leave the session feeling lighter, not heavier — calmer, not overwhelmed. That is always the aim for your session.
Only you can really answer that, and I have absolute respect for whatever you decide.
Many of my clients hold strong, varied religious beliefs, and find that a reading deepens their faith rather than challenges it.
Others come with no spiritual tradition at all. The work is about love, healing, and connection — and I welcome people from every background into a space where I hope it will bring enlightenment and comfort, rather than feelings of guilt that might be niggling in your mind.
However, if you feel a reading doesn’t quite sit right with your own faith, why not talk to a trusted spiritual advisor before booking? There’s no rush — you can decide for yourself if and when you wish to book.
I think this is one of the most common questions asked about the field of psychic and mediumship work — and it’s a fair one.
The way I work is to give you specific details first. As we begin, impressions will start to touch my mind, and I’ll translate them to you in a way that will hopefully be meaningful. As the reading continues, I’ll build on those impressions.
If it’s a mediumship reading, I might pick up on certain habits, traits, characteristics, or sayings of the loved one you’re hoping to contact. If it’s a psychic reading, I may well pick up on small details — something that happened the day before, something from earlier today, or even thoughts you’ve recently had.
This is exactly why I want as little information from you as possible beforehand. It keeps my train of thought from being altered, and it keeps the reading unbiased — so we both know the impressions and information coming through are genuinely not from my imagination.
If you do decide to book a session with me, you’ll find that for some of the time during the reading I work with my eyes closed, so I don’t pick up on body language or facial expressions. I’ll also ask you to reply only with a yes, a no, or “let me have a think about that,” rather than telling me the backstory.
If you do start to embark on a backstory or expand on the information being given, I’ll politely ask you to hold your horses and let me work through the impressions I’m receiving — sharing too much disrupts the energy connection, and can pull the reading in a different direction from where it was naturally heading.
Whether we’re working through challenges in your life in a psychic reading, or trying to get in touch with a loved one who has passed away, emotions can run high.
Tears are very welcome — but you may be surprised that laughter, or a smile at a shared memory, often happens too.
Readings can stir up deep feelings, and that release is part of the healing. There’s no need to hold it together for me. Your session is for you.
Your time here is in a space that is safe, confidential, and holds no judgement. I don’t think we’d be very human if we didn’t show emotion, or have an outpouring from time to time.
No — and I probably couldn’t, even if I wanted to. The future isn’t a fixed script. Everyone has their own free will, and we can change our life’s path with the choices we make every day.
The impressions that gently touch my mind, and unfold as we go, will share guidance and possibilities that can help you sail the choppy waters of life.
In my own experience, my intuition has never led me to predictions about death, illness, or other frightening outcomes. What comes through is there to help find solutions to problems — and it always tends to be more optimistic than pessimistic.
Many people feel that having a psychic reading will give them all the answers for the future. I sometimes feel they want to be told what to do, and how to deal with things. In reality, my intuitive skills are only there to help guide you through these challenges — not to make the decisions for you.
You are in charge of your own destiny. A reading is just one piece of the puzzle, not the whole picture — it’s one input amongst many, not an instruction.
Impressions may come through that offer guidance. You can accept it, or you can reject it. You have your own free will, and the decisions about your life belong to you.
It’s not uncommon for people to find themselves caught up in cycles of behaviour that have a negative effect on their life. I am only the messenger of impressions and intuition — and what comes through can offer options for you to consider, alongside their possible consequences, so you can talk them over with the people you trust and choose for yourself.
If you’re looking for the answer to this question, I can only assume you are worried or concerned about a loved one, or about your own health.
I don’t take on missing-persons cases, criminal investigations, or medical questions. These situations need professionals — such as law enforcement, licensed investigators, doctors, and mental health practitioners — who are trained and accountable in ways a reading can’t replace.
During readings, we work with energy. The impressions that come through can be a whole mix of energies — from yourself, from your own fears, and from the person you’re worried about. These can become so layered upon one another that, even though the impressions I receive may be genuine, they may not be a true reflection of the reality of the situation.
For that reason, I’ve made the decision not to work in this field.
If you’re dealing with one of these situations, please reach out to the appropriate professional first. I’m always happy to support healing alongside that work, but never instead of it.
If something hasn’t been answered here, send me a message. I’d rather you ask than wonder, and I read every note that comes in personally.
